What happens after twelve months
Updates don’t stop. You keep receiving every new version, bug fixes and improvements included. The twelve months decide one thing only: which new features are unlocked for you.
Without renewing
You keep receiving every version — bug fixes, improvements, security updates. Everything released up to the end of your window stays unlocked permanently. Features added after that are present in your version, but disabled.

Twelve more months in which every newly released feature is unlocked for you. And once unlocked it stays that way permanently — even if you don’t renew again afterwards.
It is offered from sixty days before your window ends, and it doesn’t expire itself — you can renew years later. Renew early and you lose nothing, the months are appended to the end; renew late and they count from the day you renew. There is nothing to install: the new licence arrives on its own at the next start.
Three computers, move them yourself any time
The licence covers three computers activated at the same time. Moving one is up to you: “Deactivate this computer” on the old machine frees the slot and removes the licence there — catalog and edits stay untouched. That deliberately only works from the machine itself and not remotely, otherwise the limit would be a formality. A machine that broke returns its slot on its own after twelve months without a sign of life, or sooner via support.
Without an active licence
There are two ways into this state: before you activate for the first time, or once your trial has expired. It isn’t a free edition you could choose — it is simply the state without a licence. Your library stays fully open: browse, search, compare, rate, tag, sort into albums and import new photos. Exporting is limited to your original files, not the edited versions. New edits are locked — the ones you have already made stay saved and visible.
Offline too
PxlMonk checks the licence at start-up against a built-in key, locally. If there is no connection, nothing happens: the application keeps working, indefinitely if need be. Only licensing information is ever transmitted — your images, your catalog and your edits never leave the computer.
Try it before you buy
PxlMonk runs free for 30 days with the full feature set — no card, no password, nothing to cancel. You request the trial licence from inside the application, not here: download PxlMonk, open it, and ask for a trial. It covers one computer; a purchased licence covers three.
When the trial expires you land in the state without a licence: the library stays open, while new edits and exporting edited versions are locked. You can still export your original files. The edits you have already made stay saved and visible — with an active licence every slider is back where you left it. Nothing is deleted, nothing is hidden.
Who you are buying from
PxlMonk is sold by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the payment, issues the invoice and accounts for VAT in your country — so the name on your bank statement is Paddle, not SynthScript. You enter your payment details with Paddle; they never reach us. The purchase itself happens on licences.pxlmonk.com.
