Real film science

Finds the actual film area inside the scan and ignores the dark holder or light box edges, so density metering stays accurate.
Automatic process detection
Is this C-41, E-6 or B&W? A one-click auto-balance flow, plus manual eyedropper controls for film base, black point and white point.
Built for real scan files
Full 16-bit TIFF support — most off-the-shelf tools can’t read TIFF at all, or silently downgrade it to 8-bit.
The film stock presets are hand-tuned by eye, not sensitometrically calibrated — a starting point rather than a measurement. The film negative conversion itself is part of PxlMonk, not a paid add-on.
